Wireless Problems

Recommended Posts

Well I just recently downloaded Mandrake 9.2 and am more than pleased by the ease of use and flexibility of the system. I would love to make the full switch from WinXP (<-- evil!) to Linux but I NEED MY INTERNET!

I have searched through many forums and haven't quite found any posts that are specific to my needs, so here's my question... sure hope you guys can assist me with my transition (for the best!)

I have a built in wireless LAN: Lan-Express IEEE 802.11 PCI Adapter

I have a Lynksis broadband router: BEFW11S4

When I try to configure the wireless connection using mcc, it will detect my card, and I put in all the specifications concerning my IP, DNS, gateway, subnet mask, and all these other numbers to whose meaning I am lost!

It will congratulate me for a successful configuration but I still can't connect. What is going on? Please help. I'm a newbie but I learn fast.
