Linksys WPC 11 version 3 will not detect

Ok im sure this topic has been address b4 but this is very strange, here whats up

i was able to get my Linksys WPC 11 version 3 wireless card to work under mandrake 9.0, 9.1 just fine w/ the hermes.conf but of course u need the manfid. I can not get linux to detect this card. Under mandrake control panel it will not be detected under harddrake or drakconnect. Here is some info

I have checked everywhere (google and other forums) and im stuck, id hate to install 9.1 when i have seen other ppl say they just popped that card in and it was detected(referring to the linksys WPC 11 version 3). Is there anyone out there that can help plz?
