This is my java directory /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_03

Anyone have any success in setting this up? Anyone know a workaround?

ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_03/bin/java /usr/bin/java

Thanks, solved everything. I thought I had already completed that step in a previous program install. Thanks again!
