jleaman Posted January 26, 2004 Report Share Posted January 26, 2004 Ok i should tell you all about the setup first.. then ask.. ok i'm running mandrake mnf firewall and then from there into a hub for all my computers behind the firewall then a server.. Now when i'm at a different location i can see the server ( web page and service's.) perfectly fine. but when i'm at home i cant see the web-page at all from behind the firewall unless i type in http://192.168.1.X for the web-server http page.. is there something i have to open or change so i can see look out on the internet and see my web-page. : O) ie real time. ? Does it have to do with the firewall or something else.. the page is working fine for those on the other side.. but just not me.. can y any one help Please... Guest emetib Posted January 27, 2004 Report Share Posted January 27, 2004 is the mnf a server also? how many nics do you have in the mnf box? are you trying to run a dmz there also? - for a true dmz you want three nic cards going. is the mnf sending out static, or dhcp? - if it's static make it into a dhcp, it's really easy to do. if you set up static, you will be able to do dhcp. i did it off of the how-to. is the mnf your dns? - you probably just have to tell the workstation that your isp is your dns also. then you should get the page when you type it's name in.
