nasa01
Hi, I am trying to use my floppy drive (haven't done that in nearly a decade) so I can burn a new BIOS for an older computer (not mine). I need to burn this out of WinXP, which I am running in Virtualbox. WinXP doesn't see floppies when they are inserted and I have no signs of one within 2010.1. What am I missing? Any hints would be appreciated. nasa01 [moved from Installing Mandriva by spinynorman]
theYinYeti
Hello, The drive is obviously “absent†on the hardware side, if neither OS can see it. It may be broken, or simply disconnected. You should ensure all plugs are well fitted on the motherboard (both power and data cables). Yves.
daniewicz
If you are using KDE, the floppy should be visible along the left pane of the dolphin file manager.
