Guest js72
Heyp, i have been using suse quite long time and now i tried mdk 9.2 and here im still. My question is related to doing mandrake as audio workstation. So i found this http://www.desktoplinux.com/news/ NS4543140457.html but i dont understand this urpmi thing. When i make myself root with su and write those commands in console nothing happens. So could someone give me detail instructions what to do. Or are these instructions only for MDK 9.1 like its said somewhere in there.
jeanackle
Welcome js72! I have no experience with suse, but AFAIK urpmi does for mdk what apt-get does for suse. I had never seen that urpmi.setup thing I read on that link, but I could get the downloads there mentioned. so just do: urpmi.update -a urpmi jackit-realtime ardour audacity alsamixergui swh-plugins cmt And optionally: urpmi kickarts And I think you'll have that step covered.
