Hi all, my first post on this forum, tons of good info here. I'm a linux newbie, been toying with it for a while but want to learn more. Here's my problem...i have 2 80gb maxyors on a raid pci card (sil680), nforce2 mobo, 2800+barton. XP is on a 120gb partition, 40 left for mdk. diskdrake only shows the ntfs partition and doesn't recognize any other free space. I've tried creating the partition in xp, unformatted, formatted, not creating a partition, disk druid from redhat...etc. Nothing worked. I reinstalled xp after screwing it's partition up (needed a clean install anyway:)), now diskdrake sees 2 80 gb hdds seperately, not even the ntfs partition showing up. no error messages, prompts for 3rd party raid or scsi drivers nothing but the straight ahead install. I am lost here....any tips would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance. btw, i'm just a regular home user/gamer, not a programmer/developer and so on. Be gentle please?! THX--pcwood
