What the problem is.. You have to access an valid index.ext document.. standard = xx.x.xxx.xx/index.shtml there is the configuration information, if you want to upload new files you have to be logged in as 'root' otherwise you don't have access after /var/ , hope it works.. if the problem still exists after that.. reply the error here.

I want to install MySQL on Linux, but.. it doesnt work.. i've read a 1/3 of the manuel and i can't figure it out.

When i add a new user.. what is nessasary, then i cant login on Linux anymore couse i standard dont have a username becouse i can't login as root then, well.. if anyone know the answer..:)

Meh, all thanks for your help, i've got.. i think that Alsa just wasnt enabled.. well it is working now :)

Ok got it installed and running, and now what?

I can't find 'Alsa' anywhere... :S

Cant select any module on Kmix.. im just using some standard Mandrake 10 music apps non of then work.. for the music.. and Kmix is disabled.. in the taskbar.. ther is a red X with it..

How do i deactivate it?? i can only select a few options.. but disable or deactivate isnt in the list...

No, i don't have a nForce motherboard.. i do have a nVidia GeForce 4 Video card... but i don't think thats the problem... Like i said before.. i have 2 soundcards.. couldnt that be the problem?

Yes, btw i have 2 soundcards, both listed..

I just installed Mandrake.. and i toughed I'd like some music while I'll configurate everything, well that wasnt possible couse Volume Control says that it is missing /dev/sound/mixer but i checked it and it is there... my Soundcard is good installed.. so i am not happy that this happend..

Does anybody know the answer.. or wants to know the answer.. reply here..
