XF86Config-4 After I re-installed the mdk9 (was unnecessary, but I'm newbie :( and impatient :D ) the "problem was fixed". So I'm unhappy. I prefer to know were is stored the system config (like XF86Config-4). Were is the gamma cfg stored (xgamma)? Actually I don't know what nv dirver is really installed on my system :(

Hi! I'm confused! How do I know wich driver is installed? Now, I having problems with apps (like xmms) wich uses GL. The error: $ soundwrapper xmms Error: Could not open /dev/nvidiactl because the permissions are too resticitive. Please see the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS section of /usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0/README for steps to correct. What should I install first? GLX or KERNEL? thank you!

johnnyv, I noted that light effects are not good on quake3@linux. There is something could be done to improve this? By the way, at windows mostly cdkey I enter I can play online. But every time I try to play online with the q3 linux version it says invalid cdkey :( I'm also having problems to launch quake3: sometimes (normally when I run other GLX app before q3) it make full screen mode but doesn't start... just a black full screen thank you!
