slackware. contrary to popular belief, it has a packaging system. and the good side is you can learn more using it. and with 16MB ram and light apps, it could be a (relatively) speed demon.
i swear one day ill install slackware on my old P166

pb,
its winehq.org, you are missing an e. you could also try the dataparty mirror which provides src.rpm and rpm packages.

have you tried the simple instructions found in http://wine.dataparty.no/ ? i suggest you do that and create your own ~/.wine/wine.conf.
and how did you install it? i recommend grabbing the daily CVS rpm on the site above or if you want the src.rpm and rebuild it yourself.

keep in mind that wine is an alpha-software. what it can accomplish is already astounding given the complexity of emulating a Windows environment. it doesnt claim to be able to run everything especially those applications that rely on the intricate webbing that microsoft loves to call its API.
that said, wine rocks (most of the time).

prozilla has prozGUI which uses fltk (minimal resources) but if you use it i recommend that you keep a copy of the links in a text file. i have lost touch with the development list but last i heard kalum was learning QT for a new prozGUI. i was supposed to help but unfortunately i cant anymore (well not yet anyway).
