  1. I should mention that i do check the cooker kde changes.

And i have synced with the very few differences that the cooker version contains.

But its alot more that is missing from cooker version fsince i do build the kde with contrib and plf dependencys which result in full multimedia support in kde which is missing in official version.

  2. Hmm i thought i made it very clear on how to add the needed repositorys on my kde page.

    at

    http://rpm.nyvalls.se/kde10.2.html

    or

    http://mirror.aca.oakland.edu/rpm.nyvalls.se/kde10.2.html

    or

    http://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/mirrors/thac/kde10.2.html

    what it says is

Type this in a console as root, to add my RPMS to the urpmi database.

    urpmi.addmedia thacs.rpms http://rpm.nyvalls.se/10.2/RPMS with hdlist.cz

Check this page to add some more RPM resources to the urpmi database.

Like contrib and PLF theese two is what i use frequently as needed dependencys

From now on is contrib and PLF required i will not add the dependency rpms to my site anymore.

    Easy urpmi config for Mandrake

    http://plf.zarb.org/~nanardon/urpmiweb.php

the neede repositorys is main, contrib and both plf ones and not to forget my own

and if 10.1 version replace all 10.2 with 10.1 in links

  3. First part of sync against cooker kde-3.4.0 done

    New qt3,arts,kdelibs,kdebase,kdepim,kdenetwork,kdeartwork,kdemultimedia for le2005 added

    The rest will come later.

This is a major upgrade since there have been lots of changes in kdelibs, kdebase, kdepim and kdenetwork

all this hard sync work is done by José Melo.

All rpms except kdebindings updated and syncing to mirror now.

  4. I just noticed a strange thing.

I have upgraded my rc2 install to 2005 dvd

and now i used easy urpmi to add the stable main and contrib official repositorys for 2005

and it showed up 116MB of rpms to upgrade newer then on dvd ????

if it had been in updates it would have been ok but not this.

the official repositorys should have been same as dvd.

some of them is upgraded because they are from contrib and not included on dvd

and others is newer on dvd then in official repository.

a quite important package is missing from dvd subversion

and half of the new xine is missing from dvd

another package missing from dvd is xorg-x11-server xorg-x11-Xnest libxorg-x11-static-devel

the last 3 is really bad that they are missing from dvd !!!!

Update the missing rpms is there on dvd but obviously not included in hdlist.cz

this does not mean that the install does not work it will probaly work anyway

it was only i who made an update that saw this.

So my advice is use easy urpmi and add online repositorys for main and contrib at once after install

    and upgrade.

  5. I will make a complete rebuild of kde-3.4.0 now to build against all the latest requirements in 2005

also checking out latest kde-3.4.0 branch from kde cvs to get latest bugfixes,

The new version is available now.

I noticed that ,mandriva released first cooker version we will sync against this one.

To add any patches that we missed, but remeber that theese versions are not the same our build has all features activated mandrivas version does not.
