To announce that today the mirros will be with no kde rpm files because we are building kde-3.5.0-1.pre and also because the last packages had some conflicts. These conflicts were caused by the last rpms, because they were changed to that way all kde rpms have the same packaging policy and there were some problems to resolve, we are only humans :) We ask for your patience, but probably tomorrow the new kde will be released. greetings,

Since we released kde-3.5.0-pre for sure you (the users) notested some packages named differently, and now i would to say that the rest of the others are going to be done (think all already done) following the same packaging pollicy. So far we followed the mandrivas kde names but we have seen too much things not making any sense (since names to requires), so once for all we decided to do all kde modules with the same packaging policy. I also have just released new kdelibs, kdebase, kdesdk, kdemultimedia, and i hope to release the rest still today. greets,

I would like to remember that some bugs are kde specific and only who knows well the kde source code like kde developers, are the ones who better can solve it, and in time they will solve things. For the rest me and thac will do our best to fix things. That is a msn kde kopete known problem, is already was fixed but seamns they some way activated it again. about plastik style all is working fine, only happens some themes disappears like for example plastik when your not using qt3 on wich kde was build, so please the rpms you have installed. cheers

I would like to clarify some aspects, in first place remember this is still -kde-3.5.0 beta, so its to expect that some bugs will appear, like for example kicker log out crashes still arent all fixed, remains one to be fixed, arts still crashes some times, and other apps bugs, but these are minor bugs, they dont stop you from using this goog kde-3.5.0, so you see these are all kde specific bugs that are going being resolved by who knows well the kde source code, kde developers. In what i can, i will resolve things, for example i have just made a new kdelibs and kdebase that have a new kdm, a konq fix, and other kicker fix, go check in our site. As Thac told i have been using this kde for more then one month, since it was released in branch_3.5, and just now i decided to realease it, since now i see that is more stable. If i had released some time ago than you would have many complaines...

Add it to your media repositories with urpmi.addmedia and them simply do urpmi, or run rpmdrake or even with rpm -Uvh, bu all that is described in our site, http://rpm.nyvalls.se/index10.2.html

Well officially isnt still relaesed but it ill be very soon, but in svn the branch_3.4 already is kde-3.4.2, just check it

Why dont you read with carefull? i ddi said that the problem runs with the command urpmi.addmedia or with edit.urpmi.media, makes no diference. And i founf a work around, this can be fixed if you replace the file :/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/URPM/Build.pm from the package perl-URPM-0.94-6mdk.i586.rpm (that comes in Mandrake10.0) but this still is a bug thats needs to be fixed!

I did what you said and i tried to add a local media source the problem continues. Any help?

I downloaded the 3 CDs Mandrake 10.1 Community and now when trying to add new media sources, it crashes with this error message: no info available for package libexif8 at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/URPM/Build.pm line 470. No matter is i use the command edit-urpm-media or use urpmi.addmedia to add local media sources, both crash with the same type of message saying that there isnt info available for that package. Already tried to remove those packages, but then appears the problem again with other packages, and all these packages are good. These same media sources were added using Mandrake10.0, i never had this kind of problems when adding medias sources. Any help?

When i run fore example keuphoria.kss, appaers this message in the console: Unable to resolve GL/GLX symbols - please check your GL library installation. I tried that and all possible and imaginary "solutions" and nothing. For what i discussed in kde, kde-devel, kde-pim mailing lists this kmail bug only happens in mandrake10.0, because in Mandrake9.2 all functioned ok.

For what i have discussed in kde-devel, kdepim and kde mailing lists, what i am about to report it is only a Mandrake/Kmail bug, that started hapening in Mandrake10.0 (in mandrake9.2 it was all ok). So what happens is, that KMail display many emails (html and plain text) as balnk emails, with unknown sender and date, and with no suject, from for example mozillazine.org also from www.linuxquestions.org, display these emails as blank emails. only when i click to see the code, is that you can see something. And these same emails retrieved from the server from Evolution are all well displayed. I tried many things to see if i could put kmail displaying these emails correctly, i chooseed using a maildir folder instead of an mbox, deleted the .index files to rebuild again by kmail, deleted the ~/.Mail dir. Compiled kmail without the patch (Mandrake patch) that puts messages in the folder ~/.Mail, because Mandrake uses the ~/.Mail instead of the folder ~/Mail. Reinstalled Mandrake 10.0 in english cause it woud have something related with the locale (language) settings, but no, nothing resolved. This bug is also described by other user in http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7427 The main problems: - Messages are cut off, often before the beginning of the body, as can be seen in the message sources of the relevant messages - Problem appears with all messages, not just HTML messages as the OP would have one believe - Problem is with downloading or storing messages - Servers are POP and locally run hotwayd pop gateway for Hotmail - /tmp is not a separate partition; / is not full (1 GiB left) - no relevant filters are in effect - problem still appears when logging in as another user - deleting the .index files did not help - maildir or mbox have no impact on the issue PS: here i attach the last blank email, and the last email well displayed in kmail (when using Mandrake9.2)from mozillazine.org that was received in 4 of August of 2003. I have a notebook Asus and im using Mandrake 10.0 Oficcial Powerpack with kde. Im using Mozilla Firefox and when i try to view pages that have flash plugin, simply dont load. When i view those pages with konqueror all pages that need flash player are well loaded. Why arent these pages loaded with firefox, any help? Note: this happens also with flash version 7

When booting press Escape (when lilo appears) and then write noresume. When inside kde or gnome or whatever you must go to your tool partition, you can go through the command harddrake2, then erase your swap partition and create another and reboot. There you are.

I did what you said, click Fn+F4 ans its the same, when returning from suspend the continues black, so i need to restart manually. And my Fn+... buttons dont work. Any help to put this Fn buttons working and to fix suspend and resuming?

In using Mandrake 10.0 powerpack with kde, and i have a notebook Asus A2500. So in klaptop, when i click to suspend goes fine, but when i click a button to go back, the screen stays black, and the only solution is te reboot manually. Any help?
