  1. I need some help creating this local repository I want to build for KDE 3.5 installation. The statement quote bellow shows the message I get when I try to run this command;

Please run drakrpm-edit-media and see if that local media isnt created, its there :)

That error in the past didnt appeared when creating local repos, but for some unknown reason (one more...) mandriva developers thought this was a good idea (?!).

This error only appears when creating local repos because you didnt add an hdlist but in fact also isnt needed a hdlist for a local repo, you can still create it, but isnt necessary.

  2. i have just uploaded new kdebase and kdenetwork, but remember that this new kde rpms are based in a new qt3 release that we made.

I also note that qt3, akode and kvirc were moved from http://www.mde.djura.org/2006.0/RPMS/kde-3.5.0/ to http://www.mde.djura.org/2006.0/RPMS

So now in folder kde-3.5.0 only exists kde packages.

Im doing the rest of packages and will be uploaded as soon i get them all done.

  3. Hi,

Im trying to install mythtv-suite on my Mandriva 2005LE but i get an error like: not satisfactionary packets becouse of myth-themes, something like this.

I have updated my urpmi I have plf rpms and other sources from easy urpmi and Thac rpm for Mandriva 2005.

Would appriciate any help as I have been trying to get my HTPC working for over a month.

i dont see any package named mythtv-suite

  4. Last problem for this year: installing latest kde replaces  libMesaGLU15.0.2-11mdk with libxorg_MesaGLU16.9-1.cvs20051222.1.mdk2006.0.mde. However mythtv0.18.1-20050618.5plf depends ‎/usr/X11R6/lib/libGLU.so.1.3.502 that isnt in the mde mesa package (mythfrontend wont start without it). (a link solves the problem)

Its simple, as i remember we do MDE rpms including xorg, so for kde made for mandriva2006 i have replaced the kdebase mesa requires for xorg_mesa.

However libxorg_MesaGLU1 also provides lib_MesaGLU1 so the problem isnt there.

The problem is due you have installed a new Mesa (xorg_mesa), and for what i see mythtv0.18.1-20050618.5plf requires a mesa file that is from the old Mesa-5.1.

Why you still use the old Mesa 5.1?

We do and use MDE rpms, thats why we say/advise/recommend in our site the required repositorys to all installs and executions go smoothly.

As i remember we do have mythtv in our MDE repository... that is build with our good MDE stuff.

  5. Happy new year in Brasil and Sweden :)

Devries from where did you get the idea that im from brasil?

Im from Portugal, the ancient center of the world, who discovered the rest of the world, remember Vasco da Gama, Pedro Alvares Cabral, Diogo Cão, right? :)

Happy new year for all you MDE users

  6. New versions of kdebase, kdeutils, kdewebdev, kdeaccessibility, kdemultimedia and kdenetwork, that should fix all install conflicts

In first place there arent any install problems, you chould clarify users that you only fix these packages regarding when doing an upgrade from 3.4.2 to 3.5.0, because instalation is working just fine, and as you know many times when doing updagrades it happens that the lde config files stay damaged causing for example that appears menus in double for example in konquueror, kmix and other.

So still the best thing to do is to remove/uninstall the previous kde before install kde-3.5.0

  7. Install problems: can t install kdeaddons because libkdeaddons1 is missing and can not install kdegraphics, kdetoys and kdeutils because selecting the packages makes urpmi not work (the installer just hangs, same when installing from a console)

small bug in few latest builds: main channel select in kmix doesn t work. It is stuck on Master Mono and I want it on Master so I can use my multimedia keys :)

My apologies, i thought i had upload it but i see that for some reason i forgot :)

  8. Where I can find KDE3.5 urpmi sources for Mandriva 2006 X86_64 architecture? I just installed Mandriva 2006 x86_64 without KDE and I wanna try the new KDE.

We have only made kde for arch x86_64 for mandrake10.1 and i dont know if we are going to do it again.

About sources we havent so far put them public due to some reasons but we are thinking put them available in some days.

  9. All requires and conflicts fixed, new improvements, check at usual place

    http://www.mde.djura.org/

When installing kde, dont forget to add the repositories plf and contrib like explained in our kde web page.

I have seen severall post saying that requires this and that, and that the install isnt possible, if you read our web page you would understand why and how to do it.

    Thanks for your patient.

    greetings,

MDE Team (Mandriva Enhanced Developers - Thac & Zé)

  10. To announce that today the mirros will be with no kde rpm files because we are building kde-3.5.0-1.pre and also because the last packages had some conflicts.

These conflicts were caused by the last rpms, because they were changed to that way all kde rpms have the same packaging policy and there were some problems to resolve, we are only humans :)

We ask for your patience, but probably tomorrow the new kde will be released.

    greetings,
