  1. Hi, no... kernel /vmlinuz ro root=/dev/hdc2 hdc=ide-scsi rhgb initrd /initrd.img is the right path! The /boot directory is mounted as own partion, where only the boot files for grup (/grub) and the kernel files...! hd0,0 --> /boot (hdc1) hd0,1 --> / (hdc5) hd0,2 --> /home (hdc6)
  2. Hi everybody, I have a little complicated Problem (for me, don't hope 4u)! Installed mdk 10 on my PC with GRUB as Bootloader! Why Grub? Because i use Raid Hd's for WinXP and another HD for linux! And grub is the only way i found to boot XP from raid! My linux HD partions are hd0,0 for /boot and hd0,1 for /root ... Everything worked fine till yesterday i reinstalled mdk! When i try to boot mdk it says "Kernel Panic: init not found ...." #MY GRUB.conf# default=1 timeout=10 title Mandrake 10.0 root (hd0,0) kernel /vmlinuz ro root=/dev/hdc2 hdc=ide-scsi rhgb initrd /initrd.img title Windows XP SP1a rootnoverify (hd1,0) makeactive chainloader +1 map (hd1) (hd0) #MY Device.map# (fd0) /dev/fd0 (hd0) /dev/hdc (hd1) /dev/hde Really don#t no whats wrong with this thing!!!!!
