  2. Since most of you know. I am new to linux. Well I have already installed and have MDK 9.2 working on my system. But after read through the forum to get a grip on everything in the new world. I was wondering which is better KDE or Gnome. First question I have is. Is there better programs for one then the other. Or is there better support or help need for one or the other. I was reading through the Art and Design forum and see what people post for there screen shoots for the desktop! WOW, Now this is something I want to do. But some people running KDE. Gnome or something call flux. Thanks in advance for replaying. Necro
  3. YES, I would.. I used to play EQ. Until I start playing with linux. And during that time WineX was not around. And Wine didn't work right. But Yes I would love to see EQ2 or EQ for linux.
  4. My system is a p2 400, 256 ram, 10 gig segate fireball hd. If is probly my system. But I look it the suggestion you have posted. Thanks again. PS: This is probly the wrong forum! But i want to know. If it better to compile a program and make a install for a program to install on a system. Or is it better to install from a rpm. The program in question is the new version of wine from winehq. Later Ill be trying to get my hands on wonex. Just testing the waters. Thanks again
  5. Thanks for the info! Also Man, MDK 9.2 is running a little slower then 8.0.. Guess Ill have to work on it or live with it.
  6. Ya, I see! I found this when thinking about going to gentoo. But at this point of my linux knowlege I was refered to stay with mandrake and this is the BEST and only FORUM. Thanks!
  7. Well, yesterday I dl'ed and installed 9.2... WOW what a change from MDK 8.0.. What happen to all the nice game and additional programs that came with the package. I select all the client, games and applications select in the install process. But I am missing app like XIME, the cd burning software and a couple of the games. Did I miss something. I am a newbie when it come to linux. And feedback would be helpful. As well as link to any forums, website or etc. Thanks in advance for you respone.
