  1. Ok im sure this topic has been address b4 but this is very strange, here whats up

i was able to get my Linksys WPC 11 version 3 wireless card to work under mandrake 9.0, 9.1 just fine w/ the hermes.conf but of course u need the manfid. I can not get linux to detect this card. Under mandrake control panel it will not be detected under harddrake or drakconnect. Here is some info

    cardctl ident:

    Socket 0:

    no product info available

    Socket 1:

I have checked everywhere (google and other forums) and im stuck, id hate to install 9.1 when i have seen other ppl say they just popped that card in and it was detected(referring to the linksys WPC 11 version 3). Is there anyone out there that can help plz?

  2. lawsonrc

I have been battling to get my wireless card to work under mandrake 9.2, i was successful in 9.0 and 9.1, however i can not get this card to work in 9.2. It is a Linksys WPC 11 version 3 wireless card too and i have done a clean install w/ it in the pcmcia slot as well as an install w/o it in it Here is basically what i did, i installed the wireless tools and inserted the card. However in the control center shows no sign of the card as well as drakconnect.

cardctl ident produces no product information avaliable and on boot up it gives the beep then bonk ya know which means it not detected. I have googled my brains out over this and searched many other forums. This post i see is a couple of months old but hopefully some1 will read it and can give me a boost.
