I see on the ftp mirrors a directory mandrake-devel/stable/ppc with rpms for kde 3.2 and a few other goodies. Looks to me like a release of mdk 10 for PPC is in the works! I wonder if I can point urpmi to mandrake-devel/stable/ppc and update my mdk 9.1 PPC? I guess I'm impatient and can't wait for an official release! mike

I've had this problem on my laptop with with redhat linux, and with Mandrake. I was surprised when I saw that my wife's new Apple iBook also has the same blurry fonts! Some fonts look better than others though. Bitstream Vera sans and charter look great on my screen and I use them as much as possible. Mike

The updates that you see are only updates for the packages installed on your system. urpmi --auto-select will update your system using the urpmi command line tool. It's interactive and it will require you to select Y/n before the update actually begins. I think there's a command line parameter to bypass the Y/n confirmation though. urpmi.update -a will update your local cache of package names etc., similar to emerge sync in gentoo. cheers Mike

I have gaim-0.75-1.2.92mdk and libgaim-remote0-0.75-1.2.92mdk installed but I can't sign on to my yahoo account. According to the gaim web site yahoo is not working in version 0.75 but they have a patch. Anyone know if there is a patched RPM for gaim 0.75 for mandrake?
