Thanks for the advice, but decided to bite the bullet and reinstall. Mdk 10 reinstalled and afterwards had the same issues, sound was not working, and gave some error about ARTS not working. I then tried to manually setup the sound, but the system locked up, tried this several times without any sucess, also the log in problems continue. Anyone know of problems running 10 on nforce 2 MB?

I just recently installed Mandrake 10 Community, and everything worked for the exception of my microsoft scroll mouse, after taking the PS2 adapter off and plugging it in to USB it has begun to work. My newest problem now is that KDE hangs on startup at 85% (Restoring Session). I don't know what else to do with it, I have been running linux for a while now and have yet to find many other distros that cannot do something as simple as detect a mouse properly and start KDE. I want to use MDK 10 because of the 2.6 kernel and KDE 3.2, just getting frusterated that all. anyone have any suggestions on a workaround? thanks
