Installing spring/08/64 I am stuck at bootloader I get error mkinitrd failed (mkinitrd-v-f/boot/initrd-2.6.24-desktop-1mnb.img--ifneeded2.6.24.4-desktop-1mnb))

I hit ok and it just goes back to loading bootloader and the same error. What do I do.

After a week of trying I finaly got stream player,I still get Error and locked when I try to download updates but at least now I can listen to the radio while I get pissed of.

Using konsol I updated all of my databases it listed all as updated.I then went to software control and tried to instal stream player I got

Installation failed, some files are missing:

I do not understand why the consul said all updated then the software instal said

A week ago I loaded the Mandriva powerpack DVD on my computer with no problems until today.This morning I started my comp as usual it stopped loading and gave me. local host login ethl PHY reset until linkup and it just keeps repeating this.

I tried loading in safe mode and it waits for an input at

telling INIT to go to single user mode

INIT going single user

I used escape at boot up it gave me 3 options linux/linux-nonefb/failsafe.

I tried all 3 with both Linux I got (local host login ethl PHY reset until linkup)

with failsafe I got (telling INIT to go to single user mode

I then hit esc while it was booting.It went to another screen which ran commands for about a minute then I got the (ethl PHY reset until linkup).

HELP please.

I had to reinstall Mandriva spring and now the display settings only go from 320x200 to 800x600.How do I get my other display settings back.On my first install I had the full choise of display settings.
