  2. Hi Chrissie Writing this from your latest CD ! Booted perfectly, and even the USB mouse is working OK. All hardware is located perfectly, its running on a IBM G40, P4 fully Intel based. I would only suggest another icon theme like Nuvola or something like that. Cya soon ! :D
  3. Hi Anna, My daughter had a lot a fun with the CD, she spent the whole afternoon behind the screen, while she normally doesn't. She has a P III @ 900 MHz with 256 mem, and all worked nice and clean ! So its a real success imo !
  4. At this moment we got a lot of testers, so packages should be OK ! B)
  5. We now added packages for AMD64 and are available !
  6. Yes the site is in Dutch, if we got enough requests we will open a little English section, to comunicate with people from MandrakeUsers.org B) What we are ? A Dutch bunch of Mandy freaks, with a Dutch forum and a Knowledge Base (for members, become a member is free btw) A few months a go we splitted up in two sections and started a devellopment section besides the forum section, and so we started making RPM's that are not available by other sources to make Mandy Linux complete. We are still looking for RPM testers, so if you like to join the devel. feel free to ask :P Greetz Gerard
  7. Ladies and gentlemen with proud we present the Dutch Mandrakeclub.nl rpm's The address is: http://www.mandrakeclub.nl/sources/official/10.0/i586/ For use with urpmi: urpmi.addmedia mcnl http://www.mandrakeclub.nl/sources/official/10.0/i586 with hdlist.cz The MandrakeClub.nl team @ www.mandrakeclub.nl
  8. Found the files, they were somewhere on a USB stick :D I can send it to you if you like, i used the rpm for installing the live CD and the CVS files for the hardware detection.
  9. Our goal: is to make a "out of the box" working Mandrake 9.2 server distro. How i planned this to get working:install a MDK as server with some pre configured things like Samba etc. and make a live CD with a harddisk installation. I made a control panel in HTML and is starting server programs like Firestarter, KSamba etc. Some Futeres are now not windowed and are going thru Webmin, it would be very nice to have a server control center without the webmin part, but doing this things in the control panel itself. So the meaning is to write my control panel in GTK or something else and put the, the things of webmin in a fancy window instead of doing this in webmin. Is there someone that can offer any help ?
  10. Steve, That would be great, any help is welcome ! :D The main thing now is as i mentioned before, the window thing, as i am a very newbe to linux for me its much to complicated. I made a contol Panel in HTML and its a goodlooking (i think), now if you click (for example) on the Samba manager (in my control panel) KSamba will open and thats good ! But for some modules there are no good window solutions, for example "user management", if you do this in webmin the unix AND samba user are made in only 1 step, thats good ! But it would be very nice to see this not in webmin but in our self-made application, but WITH the funcionality of webmin :P If you like i can send you the HTML control panel so you can look to it and give your opinion. We also need a kde-splash screen and a logo, so if there any artist here let me know ! Must we open a new topic for this or... ?
  11. Dear Anna (also Dutch i believe?), I used the CVS 5.7 version and you need the tar.gz package and rip out the livecd utils and install it. I remember it was not functional out of the box, but it was a simple thing that i changed and then it was working, it had something to do with the hardware detection. For the USB on key support was very simple, just add the --usb option while compiling the CD and that should do it :) Greetings Gerard
  12. Thanks for quick answers ! The MakeCD was the answer is was looking for, i was not sure there was a utility like that for Mandy, and now i can go on with it. I made already several LiveCD's (with USB key support) with the harddisk-installer, but the problem is when you use a system with low memory the systems hangs at booting of the CD, so better use a system with al lot of memory. Do you think there are people over here, that wants to help with the little project ? At the moment what we need is someone who can program some stuff to make things work in a window instead of doing configuration in webmin B) Greetings Gerard
  13. Dear sister site, In our own usergroup we are trying to make a Mandrake server distribution (file/print/web/mail/proxy server "out of the box working"). Our plan was to make a live CD and then from the live CD install all things to the harddisk. But my questions is, is there another way to do this, is there a util to make our own distribution with the original Mandrake installer, because we dont need the live CD, it was only an idea to use it as an installer. Greetings Gerard
  14. Hi Gowator, Thanks for your support and enthousiasm ! The site is up for nearly 3 days and is very young :D Its a good idea of the major issues and very important as well. I think there is need for users to communicate in their own language, thats one of the reasons i build the site. The other reason is to give support an starting Mandrake users, just stept out of the M$ OS. May be in the future when mandrake-nl.tk has become a "big" site (and have a large crew) we can discuss this a again  Greetings
