I run IE with english locale:
LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8 ie6
and IE didn't crash at all. and the menus replace with question marks.
Why does it crash if it run with hebrew locale?
It can show hebrew websites.

The problem was that Mandriva partition mounted with noexec in the fstab file.
Now, I can chroot to mandriva.

I want to perform chroot to mandriva from ubuntu to check the wine version for this topic:

But I get permission denied while I'm in root:

I wasn't being facetious...it was a serious question. It's possible that there is an easier way to do what he needs to do, instead of trying to run IE via wine (which can be quite the PITA).Testing web designs and doing some bank transactions is good enough a reason- or not?I can't access my bank since it use in Document.all in javascript.
The same problem with another website.
I am now in the work and then I will come home I check the wine version.

Should I open a bug on the legacy drivers in mandriva?

I success to install IE but I can't see what is write on the menus.
I guess it font problem.
What do I need to use the nvidia drver as well?
I create a symbolic link from all the fonts in windows Font folder to the wine folder but I still don't see what write in the menus.
I see only the english menues.

Now Nvida doesn't work at all!!!
I use the nv driver.
but in the init 5 I have somwhere in the end:
nvidia (8774): Already installed on this kernel. nvidia_legacy (7184-4plf2007.0): Already installed on this kernel.
But X faild and print that it can't load nvidia since it's not found.
I also change the xorg.conf nvidia driver to nvidia_legacy but I got the same.
I didn't get any errors that I load them with modprobe
/sbin/lsmod|grep nv
give nothing.

all the check perfom on the two kernels.

I search with urpmf for es1371 and I found it in a newer kernel.
I print in the end:
Preloading capability security module, if you want to activate realtime capabilities comment out/delete the line containing capability and add on a new line "realtime", and adjust the realtime module options in /etc/modprobe.conf.
What it's mean and what should I do or not?
I go now to check nvidia.

Another problem is that my sound card isn't work.
I get error in the boot of mandriva that the module es1371 isn't found.

I have geforce 2 I've use the nvidia driver which come with the ONE installation.
I don't use XGL since the card is very old.

I just installed mandriva 2007 from ONE disk and I have some problems:
The biggest problem is that I can install IE with IEs4LINUX, It cause to log out from my user back to the KDM.
I have also prblem with the printer, I send empty page to print and it start to noise but is didn't grab the paper.
I have mort problems but I try to fix them myself or put them here if not.

I found one package here:

but The package content is:
and it look that it use in fvwm and not in Gnome.
