  4. If you've successfully installed the distro, the ISO is no longer required. You can use Easy Urpmi to assign repositories, which you use for updates and extra software. Since 2009, you can also set up repositories within the Mandriva Control Centre. You will find documentation online here - try the Mandriva tools guide. To access the MCC from the main menu, use Tools - System Tools - Configure your Computer, entering your root password when prompted. The Software Media Manager should help you to set up the necessary sources.

  8. Everything Linux is suitable for sharing your experiences, but if you want to know how to work with a Cooker release, please post in the Cooker forum. The reason for keeping Cooker releases seperate is that they are for testing purposes only, and are not supported by Mandriva or this board. :)
  9. According to The Register, Microsoft was in violation of the GPL (General Public License) on the Hyper-V code it released to open source this week. After Redmond covered itself in glory by opening up the code, it now looks like it may have acted simply to head off any potentially embarrassing legal dispute over violation of the GPL. The rest was theater.
