The _only_ thing that keeps me from using mandriva on my workplace is that I cannot find a good alternative to paintshop pro v7. (I already use staroffice in xp, never really liked office...)
Many would say: use gimp... NO. I do not use paintshop for retouching, but creating images. Especially I use it to create floorplans (I am not interested to make them with exact scale) and make simple plans of where to place objects in there. I equip hotels/restaurants etc. and I use those rough and simple scetches for the workers or the owners that don't really want to mess with to much info, just give a general idea. I use the line tools, the rectangles, square tools in vector mode...
Can this be done in gimp??? I once saw a techick to make a hollow rectangle using the selection tool, but that is too messy...
anyone have any advice for me????
