stuff equivalent to Contributors, PLF-free and PLF-non-free
PLF I don't know what that means. Yes it is the six cd set i was thinking of
signing up a membership for. Do you know what any of the extra packages are?
Maybe I should just be content with the 3 cd set of LE that i am using now.
Just curious.

Due to ftp protocals having trouble with over 2 gig files there is a program just for this:
http://www.gnu.org/software/wget/wget.html
Info:
GNU Wget is a free software package for retrieving files using HTTP, HTTPS and FTP, the most widely-used Internet protocols. It is a non-interactive commandline tool, so it may easily be called from scripts, cron jobs, terminals without X-Windows support, etc.GNU Wget has many features to make retrieving large files or mirroring entire web or FTP sites easy, including:
Can resume aborted downloads, using REST and RANGE
Can use filename wild cards and recursively mirror directories
NLS-based message files for many different languages
Optionally converts absolute links in downloaded documents to relative, so that downloaded documents may link to each other locally
Runs on most UNIX-like operating systems as well as Microsoft Windows
Supports HTTP and SOCKS proxies
Supports HTTP cookies
Supports persistent HTTP connections
Unattended / background operation
Uses local file timestamps to determine whether documents need to be re-downloaded when mirroring
GNU Wget is distributed under the GNU General Public License.

Thanks for moving it to yours. I got so excited that I didn't
check. Great deal from Opera.

I just downloaded and installed PC BSD and it runs kde 3.42 and its sweet.
My question is this: Is BSD less vulnerable to hacking, viruses, penetration, etc,
than linux?

Wow, didn't know that you could get those for linux. This requires further investigating. Unreal Tourn. sounds like a good place to start.

I was wondering what is an enjoyable game, whether FPS, flight sim, or other that runs natively on Linux?
Never played anything but GNUChess on linux, looking to expand my linux gaming horizons.

You are silly sir,
I am 43 years old and want to be able to understand these install
scripts that I run into all the time when installing new packages.
Plus it is challenging
but I don't think there's one called "Using Perl". Possibly you mean "Learning Perl"?
Just checked its programming perl 3rd edtition and I also have learning perl 2nd
edition. The programming perl is a good read, easy to follow. The other title I find hard to follow.
Ps I belong to the Blackhat Community. I am studying the Security+.
Blackhater in my respect is a whiteahat .
