Sweet, all working with my Sun Java Enterprise setup with the mail server stuff and LDAP
Sweet! I use it for a 1.5TB server at home in raidz ;) Also use it for a desktop box too.

Bump, someone was asking about Sol10 :)

http://www.pepper.com/products/pepper_pad3.html
This is a pretty neat little device, too bad it's about $700 US.
Powered by Linux using Fedora ;)
Some other cool little geek gadgets

I like me some bsd my self, but I don't think there are enough drivers to make it work.
If I had my choice Solaris :) cause its just cool, plus every buisness and there brother uses it and coding/programy is good on it too.

Yeah and now the dudes off to make YAD (yet another distro)
Actually its not public yet... I don't know what he's going to do (and I could ask) and I honestly don't think he does.
Most of the other devs have jumped ship to make YAD on unstable/testing.... quite a few people (me included) are willing to stick with it so long as its not *buntu based.
But i don't really call the new unstable/testing CD a 'distro' ... kanotix was never a 'distro' at least to the insiders...IRC was mostly "debian this and Debian that..." (if you see what I mean) basically non of the devs regarded it as a seperate distro to debian... in Mandr* terms it was basically like running cooker with plf...
Come on, thats a little far fetched isn't it?
Kanotix is a rock-solid Linux based on Debian-Sid, which contains the newest packages and recognizes more modern hardware than any other operating system in use today.
Sounds like a distro to me, not saying it wasn't good, I did like it the times I tried, but uh....

I put 6.10 back on my laptop and so far only gnome-terminal crashes daily :)
Fixed my ipw3945 not restarting after suspend doing the two scripts here:
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php...3945+%2Bsuspend
7 post down
/etc/acpi/suspend.d/07-networkmanager.sh
and
/etc/acpi/resume.d/63-networkmanager.sh
I even blogged it, since my blogging update skills are lacking.... ;)

Anyone one see the "SHAT", yeah thats what Novell sucks and I'm sure you know what I think of M$..... ;)
-
Oh, I never made a comment about this.....
PUNKS[/size=7]
Yeah, they both suck some tyme butttt (he knows I'm kidding)
For real, stop supporting either of the shilacks....
-
Dirty is such a dirty word in the License world.....

Go Nvidia
Now with AMD being a big linux/Solaris humper, maybe ati will catch up..... B)

me <- WebSphere Admin
WebSphere runs on Suse, along with 5-6 other platforms,
The point is IBM is a WHORE. I talk with them about daily :)
There are some cool folks there, just the same as Novell. There ^ up folks are dumb as dirt.....
-
FC/rawhide is looking at ext4 (of course) ;)
-
BOOM!
I thought Kanotix was pretty nice when i installed it, but seriously, I'm tired of the 500+ distros.....
Kanotix deves, please move to Debian if your done, thx....
-
As much as I would like to support some of the OpenSuse deves because they have nothing to do with Novell, it sucks. They have a lot of talent and there $$(managers)$$ are crap. They really should move on.
-
Oh, Novell, next...... ---> I think the majority of folks, sort of hate novell, probably because there a bunch of hungry bastards. There smart devel's need to move on to a real LINUX distro.....
-
Redhat started OLPC iirc. So for M$ to drop there $.02 means pretty much nothing. RH gets along with M$ as much as flies on shat.....

the window border buttons (close, maximize, minimize, menu) - you can see the white around the edges (more prominent in the "corner" areas) - means someone grabbed them from a white border theme and slapped the into a black border theme without thinking about it :)
sorry, i tend to nit-pick sloppy themes
I see what your talking about now.
DAMN dude, now you have me looking at the beryl themes way to close and a lot of them suck in some form or another...... :o
-
better, but the buttons are all wrong. they're intended to be on a white background, not a black one like they're being used in that theme :P - they need to be edited for the black theme.
You mean the bottom pannel or the bars around programs?
-
who ever made that window border theme appears to have had some trouble getting the edges right (unless they wanted that uneven pixalized look :D)
Yeah, how about this one?
-
and ma laptop, I know SO original.....

If you use VMWare Server this is all you have to do.
cd /usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-1.2798.fc6-x86_64/include/linux ln -s configfs.h config.h
