No the issue is present in Gnome too, trust me I installed Gnome to see if it made any difference... It didnt.

Yeh all are covered, got everything listed there on my mandriva system. Yes but editing new menus's all the time for every app I use under wine can be a real pain, its not like I cant do it but I do have quite a number of windows apps I use. Its no big deal to you, but for me it will prove to be an annoyance. I wonder if its a bug.

Alright a big issue I see in Mandy 2010 is wine, and playonlinux menu creation. It seems that neither wine or playonlinux menus are working with mandriva, I use both as I do need some windows apps here and there but not enough for a dual boot or Vbox install. The menus work fine in openSUSE and Ubuntu in both KDE and Gnome, but not in Mandriva's KDE or gnome. [moved from Software by spinynorman]

Alright here is a issue I really hope to get fixed, I get these errors when trying to play my DVD's in Mandriva 2010 now. Here is the error I have in Totem: You are not supposed to show G_IO_ERROR_FAILED_HANDLED in the UI And in Kaffeine: Cannot find input plugin for MRL [dvd:/] DVD codecs are installed, I am not on 64bit and these players have worked on Ubuntu, openSUSE 11.2 and other distros just fine.

what is the model of your camera? What player are you using as well?

yes I know about vbam, its installed. But I still need the alien issue fixed as I have other packages I need to convert.

Alright for fun I installed mandriva 2010 and so far its very impressive, BUT I am having an issue with alien. You see I rather not compile software and I know the risks of alien so when it does not work I cant get the package I want to work.
