it just stops scrolling, i thought i could wait it out but, i waited 30 mins and it still was the same.

i tryed messing with the bios and nothing seemed to work, what else should i try?

because there the only things i get ,all the msgs b4 that scroll way to fast for me to even glimpse at them edit:i went into the bios menu and tryed it with plug and play os off(defult was on) and same stuff, so i dont think thats the problem ian

1. redownload 10.2 - sucess 2. md4sums check -sucess 3. burn all cds at 16x -sucess 4. check for consistance on all -sucess 5. instalation through second cd drive -sucess 6. linux normal boot- failed(same errors) 7.boot from failsafe- failed(same errors) im up for any ideas you guys got, if you got time i can call you and we can do this over phone, or aim or yahoo or what ever you can, i realy want to get it aleat working by wednsday. thanks for all your support

ok when i get home ill reburn all the cds a d a slower speed, and ill install with the other cd rom. also i hvae no idea how to access this bios of the computer.

1 54x32x54 2 generic media cd rom seems to do the job

1. i dont even know what an irq is. 2. emachine 3.dont know what kind of mb, is there a prog that can tell me that or do i gota open 'er up?

i rebooted my comp,, when it ran it says that the iso's went listed in the checksum file

ok wow that prog u sent me worked untill i clicked verify then poped up a meg do i want to buy it now and not use trial i clicked no then it had a windows error(damn you, microsoft) and closed.

ok i tryed hitting alt+f1 and alt+f7 before grub loads and after and during the boot process, neither times did it do anyhting. i didnt do md5sum because i dont know how or even what that is. i have a knoppix 3.9 cd and if you want me to get on that we can talk on gaim on that or what ever you want. ill be on for about another 7 hours before i goto bed
