Guest johnp
I have installed 2010 One. I have a working internet connection. When I try to add media for full sources or updates, I get the following message, "There was a problem adding media. Could not find a mirror from mirror list $MIRRORLIST". How do I fix this, please? I have no commandline experience. Thank you.
David Batson
Go to the following website and use manual mirror selection. http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/
Lardy
You didn't list the command you used, but this should do the trick: $ su $ urpmi.addmedia --distrib --mirrorlist '$MIRRORLIST' $ urpmi.addmedia --distrib --mirrorlist 'http://plf.zarb.org/mirrors/$RELEASE.$ARCH.list'
AussieJohn
The Mirror list problem has persisted for about 24 hours. I feel certain that Mandriva has had a problem and not your system, I had the same problem for about 5 hours. It maybe fixed by now so just give a try again. Cheers. John. xboxboy
I am located in Australia and often have trouble connecting to the mirror list. I just leave it and try again the next day, that usually fixes the issue.
Guest johnp
Thank you, everyone. The problem resolved itself just as you thought, Aussie John and xboxboy. It must have a thing against us ANZACs (I'm a Kiwi). However!!! While adding software, I got this response: Installation failed, some files are missing: http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/MandrivaLinux/official/2010.0/i586/media/main/release/libserf0-0.3.0-2mdv2010.0.i586.rpm http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/MandrivaLinux/official/2010.0/i586/media/main/release/libapr1-1.3.9-1mdv2010.0.i586.rpm http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/MandrivaLinux/official/2010.0/i586/media/main/release/libapr-util1-1.3.9-1mdv2010.0.i586.rpm http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/MandrivaLinux/official/2010.0/i586/media/main/release/python-rpm-4.6.0-6mnb2.i586.rpm http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/MandrivaLinux/official/2010.0/i586/media/main/release/librecode0-3.6-17mdv2010.0.i586.rpm http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/MandrivaLinux/official/2010.0/i586/media/main/release/libiec61883_0-1.2.0-2mdv2010.0.i586.rpm http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/MandrivaLinux/official/2010.0/i586/media/main/release/libsvn0-1.6.6-1mdv2010.0.i586.rpm http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/MandrivaLinux/official/2010.0/i586/media/main/release/libavc1394_0-0.5.3-5mdv2010.0.i586.rpm You may need to update your urpmi database. Try to continue anyway? Any ideas how I fix this? The MCC GUI doesn't let me edit the mirror, that I can find. Merry Christmas, all. In NZ we get it first, so I'll be over it before you!!
