Guest xuanson Posted October 26, 2003 Report Share Posted October 26, 2003 I'm running MDK 9.1. I've installed mplayer from the MDK 9.1 CD set. But it won't play VCD discs. The program displays this message: "Error opening/initializing theselected video_out (-vo) device". In xvinfo, the message is: "no adaptors present". What will I have to do to play VCD in MDK? alaa Posted October 26, 2003 Report Share Posted October 26, 2003 this means mplayer cannot run in hardware accelration mode (xv extension). try to run it with -vo x11 option.
