I'm thinking of something similar to NoteWorthy Composer or Sibelius (Windows and Mac Programs). Midi output is a must - I find it helps me to be able to hear what I'm writing. I've done lots of google searching, but I haven't found anything remotely close to what I'm looking for. I've tried Rosegarden, and I haven't been able to get anything else past the compile stage.
