I need kernel-desktop-latest-2.6.24.5-1mnb1.i586.rpm and kernel devel for install Nvidia drivers. I can't find in my URPMI, please help ....Lex

When I have install this kernel

Lex, please translate to English for us, my Polish is really weak. :)

 

Please add the rest of the repos to your software sources with your package manager > option > media manager. Then update your media sources. Then install kernel-desktop586-latest.

Install failed, cant't find any files tp://ftp.linux.cz/pub/linux/mandrakelinux/official/2008.1/i586/media/main/updates/kernel-desktop-latest-2.6.24.5-1mnb1.i586.rpm

Update your system.

That's because the kernel-desktop-latest-2.6.24.5-1mnb1.i586.rpm doesn't exist.

[root@apus greg]# urpmq --sources kernel-desktop586-latest
http://mirrors.kernel.org/mandrake/Mandrakelinux/official/2008.1/i586/media/main/release/kernel-desktop586-latest-2.6.24.4-1mnb1.i586.rpm
http://mirrors.kernel.org/mandrake/Mandrakelinux/official/2008.1/i586/media/main/updates/kernel-desktop586-latest-2.6.24.5-2mnb1.i586.rpm

The package you want is kernel-desktop586-latest-2.6.24.5-2mnb1.i586.rpm.

 

Please update your sources, then do

urpmi kernel-desktop586-latest
