I have found quite a few other posts regarding Kismet, but i was unable to get anything useful from them. I'm using Mandriva 2008 Live(2.6.22.9-desktop586-1mdv) I downloaded Kismet using urpmi kismet I have configured kismet.conf as well as kismet_ui.conf When i attempt to start the server using the command kismet_server (as root) i get the following. [root@localhost user]# kismet_server Will drop privs to user (500) gid 500 No specific sources given to be enabled, all will be enabled. Enabling channel hopping. Enabling channel splitting. Source 0 (addme): Enabling monitor mode for ipw2200 source interface none channel 6... FATAL: GetIFFlags: interface none: No such device [root@localhost user]# Beyond this i am pretty much lost. I know that my wireless card works as i can connect to wireless network. I don't know if that is relevant however. I hope i have included enough info to be helpful. Thanks in advance.
