Guest rhytha
I have this big problem with my wife's old laptop. Its not booting with the iso i had downloded and burnt on the CD for installation of Mandirva 2007. I have downloaded the x32 and have burnt it on a CD using Roxio(on my dell D630, if that helps). An XP cd i have us booting fine, so this rules out with either cd-drive problem or bios boot process problems. Its just refusing to boot with Mandirva CD, and this same CD works perfectly fine with my dell d630. Can someone help, i have download the iso thrice and have burnt the image multiple time on the CD-RW and tried, but nothing seems to work. System Information: Compaq Presario 2500, 512 Mb Ram, 40 GB Hard Disk. No OS presently in there.

Greg2
Your CD-drive may not be able to read the media you are using? Go to hp.com and see if there's a firmware update for your CD-Drive. Alternately (or if there's no firmware update), you could try a different CD media.
adamw
yeah - especially since you're using a CD-RW, some drives can be touchy about that. I'd try a CD-R or CD+R disc.
