Guest Jackson
Hi, I realize I'm new and I apologize for starting a new topic on my first post, not the most polite thing to do I know but I'm a little pressed on this. I've recently upgraded to Mandriva one 2007 and I really love it. However, I NEED a good video editor, the best I found is LiVES-0.9.8.4 despite its supposedly not so user friendly interface. I downloaded this and extracted the Gzip, and proceeded to attempt an install using the ./configure command once I was in the extracted LiVES directory. The following is exactly what I did in the terminal and the error I get. Can anyone help with this? [owner@localhost ~]$ cd /home/owner/lives-0.9.8.4 [owner@localhost lives-0.9.8.4]$ ./configure checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnuoldld checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnuoldld checking target system type... i686-pc-linux-gnuoldld checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for gawk... gawk checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... no checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no checking for style of include used by make... none checking for gcc... no checking for cc... no checking for cc... no checking for cl... no configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH See `config.log' for more details. [owner@localhost lives-0.9.8.4]$ I cannot find the config.log, nor can I open it from inside the terminal at that location.
