Guest Charles G
[mandrake 2006 with kernal 2.6.12-12mdk] I'm having trouble getting Kino 0.7.6 to export to mpeg so that I can make a simple dvd as outlined in the documentation. When I run it I can get the xml file, but there isn't an mpeg [using the format setting 8-DVD]. I've checked and made sure all the individual supporting software as listed on the export dialog is installed. When I run Kino without cleanup I do get an mp2 file. I tried making a dvd from an avi file I exported from Kino and I think I is a problem with mplex, which gave back "illegal instruction" when I tried running it alone using this command line: mplex -f 0 -o test.mpg test.m2v test.ac3 Charles
AussieJohn
Don't you need the appropiate codecs from PLF-Free and PLF-NON-Free ???. You need to do that for MP3s because Mandriva does not include codecs that have or may have patents claimed on them. You can use easy-urpmi to setup access to those 2 sites the same as you do for Main, Contrib and Updates. Cheers. John.
