Guest StingrayJes
Is there a way to get applications to remember there size and location on the screen in flux? What I mean when I opne a console, I want it to be in a specific place when it opens, not whever it fells like opening on the screen. I want all the apps I use to do that, remember there size, and where they where placed on the screen. Anyway to do that in flux??
tyme
you'd need to compile fluxbox from source, after applying the remember patch. go to fluxbox.sourceforge.net, then to the download page. the remember patch is there, with instructions on how to patch it. but you have to compile it from source (unless there as an MDK rpm out there w/the remember patch already added, i haven't seen one). Guest StingrayJes
Ok im trying to install the patch, but nothing happens. I type patch -p1 <path to remember> then nothing happens. How long is the patch supose to take to complete? Is there some kind of output telling me whats going on?

Guest StingrayJes
I figured it out, what I though was a typo was not. I needed patch -p1 < file what I had was patch -p1 file.
