Had a power outtage and now when i boot into Linux Mandriva 2006 Free, my gui won't come up but gives be the above error msg.

Also had problems with libglx.a but went to xorg.conf and changed the suffix from a to so as in

libglx.so

and it stopped complaining. Don't know if this is a fix for the problem or just stops it from being reported.

Any ideas? i've been at this for 2 days now and have yet to find anything that works.

Have a great afternoon! :)

Have had a power failure and now cannot get into my gui. The error msg. which comes up says it

Could not open default font 'fixed'

Have looked all over and all i can think of doing (i've already tried reinstalling some 3 times) is to see if i can reinstall specifically the fonts i now appear to be missing.

Any ideas? Have a great afternoon! :)

Running Mandriva 2006, PIII, 500Mhz as my Linux test (read hobby) box.
