Guest SDMF
Is there a simple program out there that will allow you to change things like the sample rate and bitrate of wav files? I have been doing a little work with dumping and decoding audio from video files, creating my own sound bites, but I'd rather adjust the attributes so I don't have a 1.5 second sound file taking up almost a quarter meg. Guest Languid_Heap
Audacity is a simple sound editing program with a few handy features. You can change sample and bit rates, as well as splice clips, fade, and a handful of other neat effects. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Guest SDMF
I'm having some problems with their RPM packages. It told me that I needed the libOgg and libVorbis packages, but when I try to install the libOgg RPM I get an error saying that there is a conflict with the current version. I went to remove the old version, and it told me that I had to then uninstall SEVERAL programs if I was going ot remove the current version of libOgg. Is this really the only way? Do I really have to remove all this other software, install the newer version of libOgg, and then reinstall all the other stuff?
