Guest krish
Hi, I would like that all users can use a command. I don't how how to do. The command chmod is just for the files, but not for the command. I would like to do "su root and the password" on the same line. Maybe to search the password in a file... Thanks
polemicz
Unsure what you are wanting to do. Any user can use the command su, they just have to know the root password. If you are daring you can let root have no password. As I understand it there are two issues you may be getting at: one is PATH and the other is commands restricted to root (logging in as su). If a command is not in a users path you can add it via export PATH=$PATH:, for instance to search in /usr/sbin for commands if the user does not have it in his/her path enter export PATH=$PATH:/usr/sbin
spinynorman
I think you need sudo. There's a brief description here. You may have it installed already. You should be careful which commands you use with it, as you can create a security loophole. :o
