Guest Nny
I downloaed Knoppix 3.7 from linuxiso.org today and recently have burned it to a number of CD's to make sure the burning is right. Well I used burnatonce and alcohol 120% both burn .iso files. Well when I went to boot up it says "no operating system found" thing I have done: -double, triple, millionth time checked to make sure the BIOS has the CD drive to primary boot -disabled HDD, floppy and any other boot except the CD Drive -made sure the CD drive was connected to the master when it was master -sacrificed a lamb to the linux gods. still a no go... any other suggestions? *edit* Well I got it working but have NO clue how. I unhooked everything and took my computer outside and used the can air on it. Put all the cables back turned it back on and WHAM... knoppix... not complaining I just wish I knew what the problem was Edited March 7, 2005 by Nny
aioshin
just a suggestion, assuming you have still a working OS, wether Windowz or linux.. try to open your newly created knopix cd in that OS, I think It is configure to auto-run, so you may see the index page about knopix in cd... just to check if the burned cd is healthy.. edit: eh.. good luck Edited March 7, 2005 by aioshin
