daniewicz
A google search indicates tgz files are tar files that have been compressed with gzip. However, my copy of the O'Reilly Linux Pocket Guide indicates the gzip command creates files with a suffix .gz. Beaten by adamw Edited March 5, 2005 by daniewicz
