SoulSe
I have a directory full of rpms which I am trying to add to urpmi. I give urpmi.addmedia the command and it says it has installed the new source perfectly (including building the synthesis file). But when I try to use that source it says it has problems with the synthesis file. Any ideas?
beesea
have you tried doing with the software sources manager? (configuration->packaging->software sources manager)
SoulSe
Uh uh. I don't use the Control Panel (the only bad thing about Mandrake). But it's cool, I had a bad header, took it out, re-did the synthesis. Works now.
theYinYeti
Could you please tell me what is the command to add a directory full of RPMs into the URPMI database? Yves.
SoulSe
Ok, in my situation, I called the collection localrpms and the directory is /rpms/ so my command was: # urpmi.addmedia localrpms file://rpms/ You can also add a specific synthesis file by using the 'with' line, but the command above should work just fine.
