Guest BerndS
Hi, to get a decent display on my laptop, I need XFree86 version 4. Currently, I only have version 3.3 (ML 8.2). I went to rpmfind and downloaded most of the rpms for mandrake, but am missing XFree86-server-common and XFree86-SVGA, which do not appear in version 4 for Mandrake. Though I upgraded the other X files, my system still works with XFree86-3.3 (though I uninstalled this version, it still resides in another directory than the upgraded X. So, I thought about upgrading to ML 9.0. But with all the trouble I had in the past every time I did any type of version upgrade, I would only do it, if I was certain that it will also update my XFree version to version 4 or higher. Does anyone know if it will? Thanks BerndS
