Hello

I have been trying to get some wireless cards working on my Compaq EVO N800V Laptop. I have 3 to choose from and I can't get any of them working. I do not think the pcmcia is working.

When a card is inserted and I run the KDE PCMCIA util I get the following:

Card 0: Anonymous Memory

from the console if I type /sbin/cardctl ident i get the following:

socket 0:

no product info available

function: 0 (multifunction)

I have checked the logs after boot up and I seem to be fgetting an error message that states memory_cs not found.

How do I get this module to load? Am i right in saying that this is causing the problems. I am a linux newbie so any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

When I type cardctl insert i get the following reply:

ioctl(): Device or resource busy

How do I find out if cardmgr is running? if you mean as a service, no it is not listed in there.

cd /etc/init.d
./pcmcia status

I get cardmgr (pid 790) is running...

So this must prove that cardmgr is running...

Anyone have any other ideas
