Guest lLloyd Osten
Has anyone had any success trying to compile K3b under Mandrake 9? I've tried several times and it just won't do it. Installing RPMS from cooker don't work either--something about relocation errors. Anyone got any ideas?
chalex20
Cooker RPM is not even supposed to install on 9.0. What is supposed to usually help is to download the source RPM from Cooker and then - rpm --rebuild path_to_it/k3b.*.src.rpm And then install the resulting RPM. chalex20
OTOH : Unless your matter is to succeed to compile k3b by yourself :-), you may get it from here : http://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distribut...4-1tex.i586.rpm It is supposed to work, AFAIK. Guest tarheeltux
Yes, use the rpm from Texstar's ibiblio site posted in the previous post. Add his ftp to your urpmi sources and it will grab all the needed files for you. Piece of cake. I just burned a bunch of cds with k3b in Mandrake 9.0 and it works great.
