Hey guys,

Having probs with mandrake 10 and a dell inspiron 8200.

everything is working fine till i start browsing in KDE, with either mozilla or konquer.

mozilla crashes when i select to address bar... pretty much useless then.

konquer crashes when i want to download something (tryed right click and save as aswell).

KDE seems to bee i little funny aswell when i want to startup and app... it take a little while, not to mention that opening up the panel bar setup, it only comes up about a min latter.

2nd weird KDE thing.. was having probs with my wireless networking... basically made my own script that sets itself up, if i get wireless going b4 i start KDE, KDE dies on the 28% all the time (works fine running after KDE startup but browsing etc are weird!)

any ideas ???

im thinking force installing all the KDE and xfree and mozilla RPMS, or just downloading the lastest kde and installing that. but really, i shouldn't need to do either.

any ideas ???

Thanks!

just checked then .... there the devel iso's i downloaded.

the timestamp on the iso's are 4/03/2004

could these simple problems only be because of this been a devel ?

also, i already formated and reinstalled :)

think ill download the lastest KDE and compile it myself ?

weird problem though, never had anything like it in several versions of redhat.

whats v10 CE ???

thanks

"devel" contains the distribution which is in state of development, currently the Mandrakelinux 10.0 Community, and of course Mandrakelinux Cooker.

What you have would not be considered a "stable" release. Download the 10.0 "Official" release. That is the one that Mandrake considers "stable". That should go a long way toward solving your KDE issues. B)
