jmirles
I have been away from Mandrake since 8.1 and thought it would be fun to try out 9.2. The installation went fine, but it hangs on boot. It always hangs at "Building Window Manager Sessions." The PC I was loading it on is a Dell Optiplex GX200, 933mhz, 256mb ram and a 80GB hard drive. I tried this with the onboard video and then with a PCI nVidia card. I did the same with the onboad ethernet. I successfully loaded Mepis, Libranet and SUSE on this very same PC after failing to do so with Mandrake. I don't understand why Mandrake can't where others can. Any ideas? I would like to try out 9.
Pzatch
Did you run the md5sums on the downloaded ISO's before using them?
