JFranks0987 Posted February 9, 2004 Report Share Posted February 9, 2004 ok i downloaded the sources for wine i extracted the archive i run ./configure it does some things and it does somethings and then i get this actually look at the bottom lines BROKEN PIPE i installed a bunch of packages to get it to get that far this is what happens after i type make boundary=2 -fno-strict-aliasing -gstabs+ -Wpointer-arith -g -O2 -o wpp.o wpp.c bison -y -ppp -d -t ./ppy.y make[2]: *** [y.tab.c] Broken pipe make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/josh/wine-20040121/libs/wpp' make[1]: *** [wpp] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/josh/wine-20040121/libs' make: *** [libs] Error 2 then i type make install it goes nuts and all kinds of text goes flying by then this again ison -y -ppp -d -t ./ppy.y make[2]: *** [y.tab.c] Broken pipe make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/josh/wine-20040121/libs/wpp' make[1]: *** [wpp] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/josh/wine-20040121/libs' make: *** [libs] Error 2 [root@localhost wine-20040121]# any ideas im a complete newb but i know a little bit from playing around but i cant get this to work Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kde-head Posted February 9, 2004 Report Share Posted February 9, 2004 have you tried doing this in the konsole? urpmi wine i was going to say do a google for "easy urpmi" , but it appears that the easy urpmi site is down (anyone know of any mirrors for that site - it's darn useful...)
