mikeoneil
Hi. Firstly, my understanding is that when you run Mandrake Update it retrievs a list of the packages you have currently installed, for which updates (security/bugfixes etc) are available. A couple of weeks ago I updated some packages this way without problem. Now, for the last few days I have tried and always get the error "Error: Ftp couldn't RETR file", "Do you want to continue skipping this package" I get the package listing but get this error after selecting one or more and pressing install. What does this mean? I have been able to install packages from plf using the install package section of rpmdrake. Is it my configuration, or is there a problem with the default update ftp site? (ftp.proxad.net/...) Thanks Mike

mikeoneil
Thanks anon, that worked a treat! I wasn't sure if the error meant I had a problem, or if it was the ftp site. Mike
