My screen saver set to automatically start after 5 min

But It never start at all.

When I wanted to install new softwares that come with mdk 10.1 CE, I search for it in Install Software.

then normally it will eject the tray and tell me to put in CD1, 2 or 3.

But last time, I was burnning a CD with k3b and hit the install button at the same time.

My burning CD failed. also Install Software or urpmi in the console cannot access the CD anymore

when I try to urpmi SOMETHING it give:

Please insert the medium named "Installation CD 1 (x86) " on device [/dev/hdc]

Press Enter when ready... umount: /mnt/cdrom: device is busy

umount: /mnt/cdrom: device is busy

eject: unmount of `/dev/hdc' failed

How can I fix that?

But since I can access HTTP way and download the rpm files, I think I can manually install what I need right?

Oh I found the problem. I cant access the FTP servers.

I tried a HTTP server instead and it's working.

I tried varios mirrors

still the same problem.

I dont know if this has anything to do with the problem but a lots of linux mirrors when I try to download the ISO files I got the error 550 "Failed to change directory" when I click to download.

and I tried to set up easy urpmi

after I went to http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/ get the command line:

then I copy and paste to the console:

added medium plf

and then it just stand there like forever (hours)

Anyone can tell me what's wrong? I check the ftp site, they are accessible.

I'm behind a firewall, does it have anything to do with this?

it's still the same

It's an onboard sound card.

But I think it's full-duplex

In windows it ran fine.

I installed gaim and when gaim run, I cant run other app that use sound like xmms, xine ...

seem like only one app can have sound at a time.

anyway to improve this?

If I want to start Firefox and it's auto maximized like in Windows

Cuz now eveytime I open it, I have to maximize it myself - annoying same like IE in windows.

I have 1 HDD, just added another one. So

I install Mandrake 10.0 on hdb and use up the whole disk

hda used to be 5-6 partitions with Windows and an old Mandrake 9.0

then I decide to remove Mandrake 9.0, reinstall Win XP. Delete Manrake 9.0's partitions

now hda has 3 partitions

but Mandrake wont boot after that.

error msg when booting is:

resuming /dev/hda7

Resuming from device hda6

"Kernel panic: Resume Machine Unable to find suspended-data signature (-misspelled?"

Mandrake still boot OK if I remove the hda (unplug the IDE cable).

What's wrong with this?
